The game jam focused on accessibility is finally here! The theme is “trust”. Now, I’ve had a fair few ideas about this jam before the theme was announced. I’m not entirely in love with the theme, but it’s workable.
What am I going to be doing? Well, I’m going to be using Twine. In my opinion, Twine is one of the most accessible engines out there. Both in terms of development and output for the players.
If you’ve never heard of Twine before, Twine is a program which allows you to easily create Choose Your Own Adventure games. In, literally, three clicks, you’ve made a game. It’s that easy.
I’m also going to be using this jam as a blogging experiment. Every day that I work on the game, there’ll be update… I hope!
The jam actually started on May 11th, two days ago. However, life and well, Hearthstone, kinda got in the way. This evening, I’m going to be sat down with pen and paper and start mapping out ideas before hitting Twine.
Even if you’ve never made a game before, I strongly urge anyone and everyone to give this jam a go. It’s probably one of the most important jams that has happened. Come join me on this wonderful jamming adventure!
